The Houses: The Lighthouse October 17, 2018 One of the great aspects of Tiny Estates is our full-time residents living in our small community.  People from different backgrounds, ages, and experiences in life.  Most recently, Ryan and Sarah Wennell have joined us bringing with them their 32' custom Liberation Tiny Homes built tiny house.  They settled in at the far end of the property with a south facing view of the lower fishing pond.  The house is beautiful and displays a variety of exterior finishes.  The sign on the house has the name "Lighthouse" carved in it, representing the name they chose for their home.  "The name Lighthouse to us is a reminder to clear our minds and remember what means the most to us in this world: relationships," is what they told us about what the name means to them and why they chose it.   Both Ryan and Sarah have graduated from Ursinus College as well as Virginia College of Osteopathic Medicine and have back

The Houses: The Kevin Hart House October 7, 2018 Recently, Tiny Estates made a big appearance in the Big Apple. Booking.com and Kevin Hart, famous comedian and movie star, who happens to be a PA native, teamed up for a new promotion together and Tiny Estates was contacted to participate. Kevin chose one of our homes to design and style to fit his needs for his new promotion.  Abby, CEO of TE, got hard at work with the details, and helped with logistics of the home and transfer from PA to the Big Apple. With only a few short weeks to prepare, Abby made sure all the I’s were dotted and the t’s were crossed so the famous Kevin Hart could announce his partnership with Booking.com and reveal that he was going to have a new tiny house! The small house and a team of four people made the journey from Elizabethtown, PA through New Jersey, into Manhattan to Herald Square where it would find a temporary home for its big debut. The house was set up and decorated with personal

The Houses: The Serenity September 30, 2018    We’ve got options! There are several ways in which you can be a part of tiny house movement here at TE. Yes, of course we do the overnight rentals, but there’s so much more to us than that.  First option would be to buy a tiny house or build your own if you prefer and bring here to our property to live and pay a land lease. The second option is an investor agreement. With this option you can bring your own tiny house or build through us and have your house rented out for overnight stays. This is a great investment opportunity. The third option is a villa agreement. With this you can choose to stay in your tiny home, that you own here at TE and have it rented out while you are away. This is a great option for snow birds, or those looking for an occasional weekend getaway. The Serenity comes to us by way of investor agreement. This little house was designed and built by CTC Technical School in Kentucky, purchased through au

The Houses: The Horizon September 23, 2018    The Horizon sits on a quiet hill top overlooking TE property. Although, you may not notice it at first when you come in as it’s tucked in within the trees, but if you look up and to the right, you really couldn’t miss this stunning little house.  The Horizon was designed by Lynn, and she worked on it for many years before she decided on her final plans for Liberation Tiny Homes in Lancaster to bring her design to life. She has a custom 375 sq. ft 32’ long and 8.5’ wide design, giving her a first-floor bedroom and loft for guests as wells as ample living space. Lynn was gracious enough to share her personal photos of the interior of her home. Owning her own traditional built home for about twelve years, Lynn decided that she no longer wanted to live for her house and her belongings, but live her life for her, and downsizing was going to allow her to live that life. A local woman per say, she graduated from Lower Dauphin H

The Houses: The Capital September 17, 2018 The Capital, it put us on the map! We introduced a new tiny home, unlike any others just a few weeks ago at Tiny Estates, the Capital.  This house put us on the map so to speak, as we announced upon its much-awaited arrival, we are now the largest tiny house on wheels community in the world! You may not recognize it like most of our other tiny homes as it has a more industrial look both on the exterior and interior.  The entire outside is made of black metal.  This 32-foot-long flat style trailer home has a new and unique first floor bedroom with an additional loft over overhead that is accessed by a staircase in the bedroom.  This saves you living space in your main living area.  The upper loft is also accessed by an urban style ladder on the outside of the bedroom as well.  So, you can close the bedroom doors and have privacy. The doors on both the bedroom and the bathroom have a bright silver tin tile work across the front

The Houses: The Low Country September 9, 2018  Many of you maybe already familiar with the Low Country. It made a quite an impression when it arrived here at Tiny Estates, and for good reason. This tiny house has big personality and lots of rustic style. Built on a 39 ½’ gooseneck trailer, this low country rustic timber home has plenty of space with 379sq ft of space to call home. When you open the custom wood door and walk in, you get a beautiful aroma of fresh cut lumber. Everyone walks in and takes in a big whiff, breathe it in, it’s awfully nice. You’ll be amazed at the custom-built wood cabinetry with built wine glass holder, granite counter tops and full-size appliances. If you ever wanted to try tiny, but thought you couldn’t handle a tight space, this is the house for you! Custom wood floors, walls and ceilings lend a masculine feel to the interior with rustic touches of dĂ©cor throughout. Custom bucket light shades and a fabulously tiled and stone bathroom

The Houses: The Dingo September 2, 2018 The Dingo is one of the most unique and personal homes we have here at Tiny Estates (TE). It comes to us as an investor unit from Philadelphia, PA where it was built by Nicholas Orso and Elizabeth-Rose Goerlitz. Both Nicholas and Elizabeth are PA natives and ventured away from the state for a while and then returned and have been residing in Philadelphia ever since. After receiving his degree from Drexel University in Civil Engineering, Nicholas traveled the country and world following his career. He lived in places such as Sierra Leone, Panama and Puerto Rico. Elizabeth moved to Florida, graduated from high school in the Orlando area and received a degree in Event Management from the University of Central Florida before she decided to return to PA. They both took great pleasure in the process of designing and building this house on their own, except for hanging the drywall, which he says, he has no patience fo

The Houses: The Alfa August 25, 2018 Alfa is an interesting little home. It’s tiny and quaint and is a unique experience. Covering only 140sq ft of living space, it has a very small footprint. It was built on a 17’ trailer but actually only has 12’ of length for living space. The walls were also built on the inside of the wheel wells of the tiny trailer, so the interior width isn’t as wide as a typical THOW. Alfa was built by HGTV for a charity auction and was bid on and won by a gentleman who thought he would use it. However, it sat empty, unused and never slept in until it made its way from Tennessee to Tiny Estates.  You can stay in the Alfa, just like many of our other homes, but come prepared for a cozy stay. The Alpha has a bench for seating in the main living area with storage underneath. This is where extra dishes and supplies are kept. You can watch TV from the bench or from the queen loft that sits above the kitchen and the bathroom. The kitchen has a

The Houses: The Vision (Quiet on the set!) August 19, 2018    This grand THOW is came to us from Spencer, owner of Roughcut Tiny Homes out of South Carolina. This is the second home we have received from Spencer, the first being the Low Country. Both homes are on goose-neck trailers and have first floor walk-up bedrooms. The name on the Vision sign hanging outside on the home is also Doug. He is the owner of Doug Phillips Architects and is the architect who did our virtual tour on our website, I’m sure you’ve seen it. If you haven’t, go to our homepage and watch the virtual video, it’s a great concept of what is an ongoing 4-5-year project here at Tiny Estates, you won’t be disappointed. Doug also designs tiny homes under Raven Craft Tiny Homes-Designs That Soar! We are very grateful for his great work on the virtual tour. Recently, earlier in August, the Vision was the set of a new independent movie that came to Tiny Estates to shoot. Local film maker, Jake

The Houses: The Eagle August 9, 2018 Much like an Eagle soars above the trees and searches the grounds below, our Eagle sits atop a hill looking down over two fishing ponds and most of the other homes at Tiny Estates. Its perched above the road, nestled in the trees, and over sees much of the property.  The name on this house is Eddie, and it serves as a small memorial to a man who lost his life while serving us.  In the early days of clean up when the property was acquired, we hired Eagle Disposal, a local company out of East Earl, PA to remove the trash and debris from our major clean efforts.  Eddie was a driver who worked for Eagle Disposal and would haul away debris as we cleared the land.  One day while Eddie was working and hauled away a load from Tiny Estates, he suffered a sudden heart attack and passed away.  Naming the house, The Eagle and listing Eddie's name on the house was just a small way we could memorialize and remember Eddie. The Eagle may

The Houses: The Empire July 29, 2018 Nestled away quietly across the pond in Tiny Estates (TE) you will find a lovely little red farmhouse named The Sunset. It’s just around the second bend between the Low Country and the Dingo, one of our newest arrivals. The Sunset came to us as a 24’ Liberation Tiny Homes farmhouse build, it is one of four farmhouses that we have on the property. This home has a comfortable quaint feel, with beautifully stained wood, a peaked roof and accents of red color throughout the main living area, loft, kitchen and bathroom.  The next house in our blog series is the Empire.  This home is a 24' farmhouse and is humble, charming and honestly, it isn't what you'd would think of when you hear the name Empire. It's not grand, it's not large, but it is beautiful, comfortable, perfectly detailed and sits quietly on the edge of the pond. The Empire is just one of four in our farmhouse collection.  Made by Liberation Tiny H

The Houses: The Sunset July 22, 2018 The Sunset was named by Ryan Shank and the memories it means to him. He is the fiancĂ© of Abby Hobson, CEO of TE. Ryan spent time living in California for his career and says Sunset means a few things to him, one being the famous Sunset Boulevard in Los Angeles, and he says, “Sunset is the culmination of my experiences across my adult life”. Ryan is local to us, he grew up in Lancaster, PA with his mother, two sisters and grandparents. After attending Lancaster Catholic High School, he went on to graduate from Saint Joseph’s University in 2008 with a degree in Marketing. For their upcoming wedding, he and Abby have decided to go off the beaten path and forego a traditional honeymoon and instead travel tiny across the nation. They recently purchased a Thomas school bus and are converting into a tiny house on wheels (THOW). After the couple say their “I do’s” in December, they will head off on a month-long adventure across th

The Houses: The Green Bean July 15, 2018 The Green Bean is probably one of the most unique houses that we have at Tiny Estates. This house is owned and built by Cody, who is 23 and was TE (Tiny Estates) first full-time resident. Named for his love of green beans, the house is 24’ long and has two custom wood entry doors on the side, two loft spaces and obviously, is green. One door on the left is entry to the main living area, and the door on the right is entry to a custom carpentry work shop. However, since moving into TE, Cody now has access to a much larger work shop and is in the process of converting the workshop area of his tiny home into a first-floor bedroom. Cody graduated from Millersville University with a degree in Applied Engineering and Technology management, with a focus in CADD, which helped him with his design for his tiny home. At first Cody was against tiny homes when he first saw them, but then as he got older and his needs changed, he became i
