Tiny Estates-Looking back There’s so much to say about the last nine months, from the nail-biting opening day until now.  Tiny Estates has developed and grown beyond what most expected in just the first few months. Though some of it was challenging, nothing short of growing pains and a learning experience for all, we will go proudly into the new year with great hopes for an even more successful 2019. We acquired the current Tiny Estates property in January of 2018 and spent the following three months working tirelessly to make the many needed improvements to the land.  Formerly a successful and traditional campground, we still had our work cut out for us to make the property usable and presentable for our tiny house community.  We tested the water wells and found that it wasn’t feasible to use them, or we would’ve had to drill for new wells on the property.  The only option was to connect to public water and sewer.  We chose to connect to public water and sewer and t

One of our own is going tiny! One of our newest employees is going tiny!   Meet Brandi and Jon.   Brandi started working part time for TE in September this year, shortly after her son, Nate, left for college in New York state.   Brandi sparked an interest and started asking questions somewhere around mid-summer regarding the homes, tours, processes and the possibilities. With their son leaving for college, they came to the decision that they wanted to downsize from their 2000sq ft home, so they could help Nate with his student loans and have less to maintain around the house.   Brandi and Jon told us they currently only use 3 rooms in their large house and are quite anxious to downsize. This is not anything different from what we’ve heard from people who have gone tiny already.   Once you take a look at your space and what you actually use on a daily basis, you may realize, you have a lot of unused space.   And, we all know what happens to unused space, we fill it up

Yes, it’s a tiny house thing! Along this journey we are learning a lot more about tiny homes in general and specifically the tiny homes we have here at TE.   As we grow through the different seasons, we find things here and there that would make a difference to anyone if you were building a tiny home yourself.   We have a variety of homes from people like the family who wanted a weekend project, retired folks looking for a hobby, independent women, homes built from career and technical schools, also from trained professionals like architects, engineers, contractors and to those aspiring to become professional tiny home builders themselves.   With the vast mix of individuals and companies building homes and varying degrees of differences, we understand when people ask us “Is it just a tiny thing?” The simple answer to most of those kinds of questions is “yes, it is a tiny thing”.   Usually, during check in we may have to do a little additional explaining to our guests, fo

Investing in Tiny Tiny Estates has really grown over the past 8 months.   We went from opening in the beginning of April with just a small handful of homes, to now, currently having 28 homes on site.   It has been an amazing start for us.   As many of you know, the property here at TE will be under going development for the next several years, so there are so many more great things to come, that will truly make this a wonderful resort experience for everyone. We anticipate the building of a pool in the early spring as well as a few more buildings on the property for guests to enjoy, and to make their experience here complete. We will just keep some of those good details for later announcements, so stay tuned! Our location also makes it great place for families and travelers of all types.  We’ve said it many times, we are centrally located to Lancaster, Hershey and Harrisburg, and so that puts us right in the middle of so many great South-Central Pennsylvania attra
