The Houses: The Low Country
September 9, 2018

Many of you maybe already familiar with the Low Country. It made a quite an impression when it arrived here at Tiny Estates, and for good reason. This tiny house has big personality and lots of rustic style.

Built on a 39 ½’ gooseneck trailer, this low country rustic timber home has plenty of space with 379sq ft of space to call home. When you open the custom wood door and walk in, you get a beautiful aroma of fresh cut lumber. Everyone walks in and takes in a big whiff, breathe it in, it’s awfully nice. You’ll be amazed at the custom-built wood cabinetry with built wine glass holder, granite counter tops and full-size appliances.
If you ever wanted to try tiny, but thought you couldn’t handle a tight space, this is the house for you! Custom wood floors, walls and ceilings lend a masculine feel to the interior with rustic touches of décor throughout. Custom bucket light shades and a fabulously tiled and stone bathroom makes this home a dream vacation.

With three sleeping areas, you can bring the whole family. The main sleeping area is a walk up first floor private bedroom featuring a queen bed. You can stand up and walk around in this bedroom, unless of course, you’re a professional basketball player, then you may have to duck. Down the stairs and through the kitchen is the main living area, quietly tucked away in the far end of the house. The sectional sofa offers another sleeping area, as it folds out into a queen sleeper. Above the main living area, is a comfortable loft accessed by ladder, which also has a king bed. So, there is room for 6, bring the family, the kids, the grandparents and enjoy a large tiny space right by the fishing pond. It’s a great view in the evening, watching the fish jump and hearing the frogs as night falls.

Right across from the Low Country is a nice quiet area with Adirondack chairs and wood burning fire pits that make a great place to end the night with a fire, and smores. Break out those hoodies, because Fall temperatures are upon us.
The name of the Low Country sign is Spencer, who is the builder of this home. He resides in South Carolina in an area they refer to as the “Low Country”, and that’s where the name comes from. Since the Low Country has made its home here in PA, we have also introduced another Spencer built home, The Vision and soon to make its debut, The Capital. We’re keeping Spencer busy, and really enjoy working with him, and look forward to a promising future.

Ladies, if you ever wanted to convince your husband to go tiny, this just might help you get it done. This home has helped change the minds of many of the skeptical men being dragged in on a tour by their hopeful wives. It’s funny, they start out always saying “My wife dragged me here”, but by the time they leave, they see tiny homes in a new light and can see the vision their wives had hoped for.

Bring a poker table and saddle up for the night in the rustic Low Country, just remember to leave your boots by the door.
