Looking Forward

Many of you may remember in the beginning, we had concept video of Tiny Estates highlighting the near end phase of the project on our website.  We eventually removed the concept video from the website as we were having people check in and ask us “which way to the beach?”.  It was obvious that some might have been missing the idea of the “concept” part of the video, arrived at TE with certain expectations, and were disappointed when we explained there was no beach at this point, and it was a concept video they had seen.  Luckily for us, it only happened a couple of times, but we felt it was best to remove it for any future guests looking for the beach. We try to convey our future vision to those who visit TE, that we are in the process of several year projects and we will become more of a community and resort with a more luxurious feel by the time it reaches completion. So here is a first-hand look at what's coming for us and you in the new year.

We’re heading into 2019 with great expectations and a very positive outlook. Having met and exceeded our projections for 2018, we are approaching the new year with hopes of a few new amenity builds on the property, and hopefully, we will have 40 tiny homes in total by the end of the year.  We are currently working with our architect, Doug Phillips (whose name you will find on the Vision) and Robert Gabriel for land planning, for designs of what we would like to see happen in the next 12 months.

Potentially, our new designs will include an event center which will ideally hold 300 guests in a reception area plus a separate indoor ceremony area with an outdoor ceremony option as well.  The event center could possibly be completed by the end of 2019 and would be ready to take bookings for 2020.  Could you imagine yourself getting married at Tiny Estates?  We can!  We already have a lot of engaged couples who are getting married at local venues who reserve all the houses at TE for their wedding parties and guests to book at a reduced rate for their upcoming ceremonies.  Not only weddings, but families who come to stay for family reunions will have a unique environment to accommodate their family members as well as a great space for a reunion, a pool, and other new amenities.  The event center would also be great for corporate conferences, conventions, all types of celebrations, and who knows, maybe even a tiny house festival sometime in the future.

We will have a new guest check-in area and a new store, as well as a brand-new tiny home design and build center.  This building will offer for clients wanting to build a tiny home an area to see different designs, layouts, sizes, samples of materials and finishes, as well space for them to sit down with us and draw up all your ideas, while we work on creating a Sketch Up file to meet all your expectations and needs. The plans for the pool would potentially break ground early this spring in hopes to have it completed for our 2019 summer guests to enjoy.  Since, we are still in the design phase for the new builds and amenities, layouts and sizing are still being discussed, so we are open to hearing suggestions and thoughts about these ideas, so if you have any suggestions you would like to share, we would love to hear your ideas in the comments section below.

With that being said, we are also in the design phase for other new amenities on the property to help bring us closer to that resort feel we are moving towards.  Along with a new pool, and resort store, other potential amenities would include a new laundry facility, an arcade, and upgrades to the outdoor community areas so they feel more private and high end.  We want to make sure that even in bad weather, our guests can enjoy space outside of their tiny home and feel part of the community.  We’re hoping to achieve more of the resort feel this year also by, paving the roads, fencing in the entire property, and giving our guests more amenities to enjoy.  Our intentions are to listen closely to our guest feedback in order to keep improving, to grow with demand yet still meet expectations, and continue to work on zoning and code changes to help grow the tiny movement!

We hope you are all just as excited for the upcoming year as we are.  If you haven't yet had the chance to stay at TE, now is the time to book your upcoming stay! We would love the opportunity to help make everyone's tiny dreams become a reality, whether its a tour of our tiny homes, an overnight stay, vacation or helping you build your tiny home, we welcome you to come and see what we have to offer.

As we think about moving forward and the changes and improvements to come, it's hard to not think about what might be in the future for us as individuals. Do you have a plan for something new in the upcoming year?  A resolution, a re-connection or a new beginning, or maybe even a separation for some? Whatever it is, we hope it brings positive results. As a whole at TE, we are making big improvements in a big way, but let's not forget that some of the greatest improvements to ourselves can start in the smallest of ways. We hope that whatever is on the horizon for you, it includes positive new potential, continued happiness and hopefully new exciting adventures and memories that will last for a lifetime.  From our tiny family to yours, we all wish you a prosperous, healthy and happy new year!
