The Journey

June 1, 2018

Well, we’ve made it through another interesting week. Meeting new people from all over the country has been quite an adventure. It’s interesting to see what most people’s interest in tiny homes is.

Most people have seen the many popular TV shows and have an interest in seeing what they are really like on the inside. A lot of folks are the journey of building their own tiny homes and come here to further their research. For instance, we have one lady who stays for a full week in each one of our homes, she has quite a way to go. That's part of her journey to her tiny home. In fact, she will be checking in again today, to stay in her third tiny home with us, and we love having her.

We love meeting all the wonderful people who come to tour and to stay, and we love hearing their stories. One thing for certain, there is a common thread among most folks, and they all are looking for a better quality of life. Could you imagine having a carefree life? No mortgage, no huge utility bills, no more being a slave to a house and job, so you can spend time with the ones you love?  Having time to create memories, have more meaningful experiences, more time outdoors, traveling or focusing on the things that truly give you pleasure.  We’ve lost sight of these important yet simple things that bring us joy. People are coming back to a simpler way of life. This is what people want, this is the change they want (and some may need) in their lives.

We may only have a few residents, as we mostly have overnight rentals, but it warms my heart to know, we are helping folks along the path of their journey. We are helping people see what their futures could look like.  And from where I'm sitting in my tiny office looking out, the future is looking pretty good.  Where are you on your journey?
